This page gives you an overview of our refer a friend programme and how it works. The programme has been designed so that you can benefit for spreading the word about Bean.
1. What is the Bean's refer a friend programme?
1.1 Bean is offering customers who have signed up the ability to refer their friends and family to the service.
1.2 Referrers must be registered users of Bean. To sign up, just head here: app.usebean.com/signup.
1.3 Referrers must have linked a minimum of one valid UK bank account or credit card to Bean. To link an account please see: https://app.usebean.com/add-provider
1.4 Once you’ve registered and linked an account you’ll be able to invite friends and family with your unique URL.
1.5 Your referral link will be provided to you by email upon signing up and it will also be available on your Bean refer a friend page. Please sign in to get your link.
1.6 You can also ask the Bean team for your unique URL through our live chat functionality. You will need to be signed into your account for us to provide it to you.
2. What is the reward and how is it delivered?
2.1 For each successful referral through your unique URL you will be entitled to a reward. The rewards will be delivered to you through our rewards partner.
2.2 The unique Bean refer a friend URL tracks everyone who clicks and signs up, and once your referral has successfully connected an account, we will then send you your reward in the specified time period.
2.3 Bean has the right to change the value and structure of these rewards at any time.
2.4 The Bean refer a friend programme is unlimited, so if you refer 10 friends and they go on to successfully attach an account to Bean, you will receive 10x the reward.
2.5 For all successful referrals both the referrer and referral will receive their reward after 30 days of the referral attaching a valid UK bank account or credit card.
2.6 Both the referral and referrer must have a minimum of one financial account attached at the end of the 30 day period.
3. Prohibited uses
3.1. You may only use our refer a friend programme in good faith for lawful purposes. You may not:
- create more than one account in order to invite yourself;
- invite others that have created duplicate accounts;
- use alternative contact information to refer yourself or others that have created duplicate accounts;
- invite an existing customer of Bean;
- attach the same bank account or credit card to multiple users;
- invite fictitious persons;
- use the refer a friend programme in any way that breaches any applicable local, national or international law or regulation; or any way that is unlawful or fraudulent, or has any unlawful or fraudulent purpose or effect;
- to transmit any unsolicited or unauthorised advertising or promotional material or any other form of similar solicitation (spam); or
- otherwise attempt to circumvent this agreement or the refer a friend programme.
4. Data protection
4.1 Our refer a friend tracking web link has been designed to ensure we can track your referrals and reward successful financial account linkages.
4.2 At no point do you gain access to the identity of your referrals or any of their data and vice versa.
4.3 Bean will not discuss any aspect of a referred person's Bean account status. You have no right to, and will not receive, updates on your referred person's Bean account due to privacy and data protection controls.
5. Abuse of the referral terms
5.1. Bean has the right to refuse to pay you the referral fee if (in its sole and absolute discretion) Bean suspects that you have not used the refer a friend programme in good faith or have breached this agreement.
5.2. We will determine, in our sole and absolute discretion, whether there has been a breach of this agreement. When a breach of this agreement has occurred, Bean may take such action as we deem appropriate, including (but not limited to) termination of this agreement, closing your account(s), closing third party account(s) and suspending the refer a friend programme.
6. Limitation of liability
Bean accepts no liability for any use of the refer a friend programme which does not comply with this agreement.
7. Changes to this agreement
We may revise this agreement at any time by amending this page. We may or may not alert you to any changes made. Continued use of the refer a friend programme shall amount to acceptance of the agreement in force at that time.
8. Changes to the refer a friend programme
Bean reserves the right to:
8.1 Terminate the refer a friend programme at any time, without notice.
8.2 In the event the refer a friend programme is terminated, Bean will not be obliged to credit any accounts that would have otherwise qualified for a referral fee.
9. Applicable law
9.1. This agreement and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with it or its subject matter or formation (including non-contractual disputes or claims) shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the law of England and Wales.
9.2. Each party irrevocably agrees that the courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with this agreement or its subject matter or formation (including non-contractual disputes or claims).
